Waiver ideas for Week 9

Syvelle Newton (PHIL) – 4 for 85, 3 TDs — I’d like to see the catches improve but he could be useful and has been finding the end zone

Dan Raudabaugh (DAL) 29/35, 377 yards, 7 TDs — got a Qb on bye?  Give Raudabaugh a chance against an Iowa squad that lets up points

Brian ZBYDNEIWSKI (TAM) — 17/29, 270 yards, 3 TDs — The Z-ski threw as many TDs in the entire game as he did the previous week in 6 passes.  With that kind of erractic behavior, I’d look elsewhere.

Aaron Hosack (KC) – 8 for 167, 3 TDs – after disappearing for the better part of the last 5 weeks, Hosack came up big for a potent Brigade passing game

Brandon Copeland (TULS) – 8 for 101, 3 tackles — back to back 100 yard games puts him on the radar.  Where’s the scores?

Keith Stokes (PHIL) – 11 for 159, 3 TDs, 44 return yards, tackle — Stokes should be on top of your list of waiver pick ups after 6 TDs in the last two weeks.

Errick McCown (IOWA) – 13 for 123, 3 TDs — McCown turned heads but is the clear 3rd receiver in Iowa.  Don’t expect too many games like this…

Amari Jackson (TAM) – 6 for 89, TD — Jackson could see more playing time if Hank Edwards is sidelined this week.

Otis Amey (SJ) – Just activated OFF of injured reserve by the Sabercats at the same time that Samora Goodson and Nichiren Flowers are placed ON the IR list.  In his last action, Amey finished with 112 receptions for 1,516 receiving yards and 48 TD catches for the Glads in 2008.  A project pick but could pay big dividends.
